With the help of the community, our dream of a home base for The Centre for Dreams came true in February 2007. Though it took many long and stressful hours to finally complete, it was through the encouragement of local supporters and businesses who graciously offered their kind support and services that made our move to Main Street Markham possible.
We are so thankful to have had such an amazing team of volunteers who took the time to give us and our members this beautiful centre - it is truly a miracle with all the work that went into building this amazing place. This was one wish we hoped for and will never forget those who made it happen.
The Home Depot Dream Makeover!
From November 6 through November 9, 2008, staff from The Home Depot - Markham East store were hard at work on a much needed makeover to The Centre for Dreams home base. Approximately 3500 square feet of flooring and all of the ceiling tiles at our Main Street Markham headquarters were replaced. The project, worth $19,500.00, was part of the Team Depot Initiative, the company's employee volunteer program.
